After Years of Laying False Tracks, Now There's Nowhere Left to Drive

I don’t typically dabble in the universe of MAGA/QAnon conspiracy theories. Every time I’ve tried to understand why some of the wackiest beliefs in that universe are so pervasive and began my descent down into the rabbit hole, it quickly became so ridiculous that I could feel my brain cells diminishing in real time, and so I quickly climbed out to return to the sanctity of Earth and reality.

I realize the full-blown QAnon believers are only a fraction of the MAGA base, but it’s a significantly-sized faction - 25% to 32% according to these linked reports from 2022 and 2024, but if you’ve ever had conversations with even causal Trump voters and right-wing media consumers, you’re fully aware that their belief systems are shaped by the top-line QAnon claims, even if they don’t buy into every weird and colorful detail within these vast theories.

So, suffice it to say, the latest controversy with the “Epstein Client List Files” has turned everything upside-down in the MAGA world like nothing ever has in the past. Let me try to boil it down even further….

MAGA influencers, many of whom are now working in the Trump administration at the highest level, spent years working their MAGA base into an anger-driven lather, convincing them that Epstein had a client list of pedophiles, and many Democratic officials, along with Hollywood elites are implicated…and the “Deep State” has been hiding everything…and their hero, Donald Trump, would save the day and expose them ALL! Yes, the same Donald Trump who has been found liable for sexual abuse against E. Jean Carroll, bragged about grabbing women by their genitals without consent in the infamous Access Hollywood video, and seen here in 1992, buddy-buddy with Epstein as they ogle young girls together):

So now, the DOJ under Attorney General Pam Bondi’s direction, released a memo to say there is NO list. That’s right. Nothing to see here, folks, just move along. This, after Bondi herself, over the course of many a TV and podcast interview, teased the list as red meat for the base, further fueling a salivating MAGA faithful who dreamt for years of some kind of ‘glorious scenario’ where everyone from George Soros to Hillary Clinton to Beyonce would be frog-marched into prison.

In a televised cabinet meeting this past week, a reporter asked about this about-face, and Trump lashed out at the reporter for even daring to ask a question about it.

As a side note, in this meeting, disgraced Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, assumed his new usual “Homer Simpson Retreats Into Bushes” position. He’s clearly gotten quite used to this position, given all the practice he’s had over the past 6 months having to publicly bear witness to so many of the Trump administration’s cruel and unAmerican atrocities, which he’s had to reluctantly endorse, despite having spoken out AGAINST such atrocities in the past. I imagine the perma-frozen look on his face during these times is the feeling of deep and profound shame for relinquishing his integrity and selling his soul for power.

But I digress…

Now that we’re here, this only leaves two options, and at least one of them has to be true:

1. MAGA was lying the whole time about a “list” that didn’t exist, and chose to exploit the victims of Epstein’s heinous crimes for political points,

2. A list DOES exist, and the Trump administration is actively engaging in a BLOCKBUSTER cover-up.

If #1 is true, not only is this vile and despicable behavior, but it also flies in the face of MAGA’s fundamental claim to care about pedophilia crimes, which has been a hallmark of MAGA’s mythology. This is a big part of how they get people to vote for them despite actively hurting these voters in a variety of ways, mainly through defunding and cutting the government services they rely on so they can give tax cuts to billionaires. Even when MAGA voters understand this, they have come to believe that voting for Trump is a higher calling that rises above petty issues like whether they have healthcare or keeping automatic weapons out of the hands of bad actors, because the satanic enemy Democrats and even friends of Democrats (like Hollywood) are all pedophiles, so they feel better about their choice because they are voting against “pure evil.” Now, to be clear, if this WERE true, or even anything relating to pedophiles being protected in some way, then they’d have 100% universal agreement across all voters - Republicans, Democrats, Independents, and MAGA alike.

If #2 is true, this is THE bombshell of all bombshells. As I said on the outset, I don’t typically fall for conspiracy theories that serve to to fill in the missing info for situations where there are unknown facts. But there are plenty of reasons for this to possibly be true. After all, we know that Trump SAID he was never on Epstein’s plane on January 9, 2025 (below Truth Social post), but that ended up being a lie because it has been reported since that the flight logs say he was on the plane 7 times. To be clear, the logs don’t say whether he went to Epstein’s island - they just state he was on the plane. Why did he lie about that?

And Elon Musk - one of the top-most officials in the government who had access to virtually all government info during his time at DOGE - said so. Could Musk have been lying because he was bitter about his break-up with Trump? Sure. Or lying just because he is a frequent liar and deep dabbler in conspiracy theories? Abso-fucking-lutely.

Bottom line, the Trump administration promised TRANSPARENCY, and either way, we ain’t getting’ it by a damn sight. From what we can tell by small portion of the iceberg that’s poking above the water, there is NO good answer to this. Trump knows this is a political firestorm like no other that he’s faced, and is desperately trying to make it go away by changing the subject - like this unhinged and unAmerican post he made yesterday threatening to unilaterally revoke Rosie O’Donnell’s US citizenship:

Even if the dam breaks and Trump is forced to use AG Pam Bondi as a scapegoat and fire her, this is NOT going away. Like all things MAGA, it’s always a projection. Virtually everything Trump accuses others of is an admission.

The truth is, the house of cards is slowly collapsing. DONALD J. TRUMP IS THE DEEP STATE.
